The Pursuit of Happiness

When you think about what you really want out of life...I would think that all our answers would be the same.  But I am very wrong.  Some of our answers would be warmth, wealth, fame, friendship, water, shelter, security, and the list could go on and on.  But I believe that no matter what we "have," I think that all of us would like contentment.

Happiness.

Peace.

Acceptance.

From Phillip Hekeota

Contentment with the life that we have and the with the person that we are.  We, as human beings, will always be wanting more, needing more, searching for more...but even with that unsettling natural instinct...lets all be content at the same time.  Even though you just ran out of mascara or your shoe laces just broke, think about the things you do have.

A roof over your head.

Clothes on your back.

The ability to walk.

The freedom to voice yourself.

We are all very lucky.  No matter how you look at it.

So, embrace that, and just be content.
