I'm Second

This book is a refreshing reminder of our need for God in our lives. Throughout the pages of this quick, easy read, testimonies of personal faith journeys are shared by some big names such as musicians Brian Welch and Michael W. Smith, Biggest Loser winner Michelle Aguilar, shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton, fighter Vitor Belfort, and much more. This is definitely a suggested read. It will leave you feeling better about yourself and about life, after you witness these inspirational stories through real eyes and words. It will cause you to ask, Am I Second?

Some May Say I'm A Dreamer

Dreaming is one of the most beautiful things in life. Without dreaming, life is pretty boring.

My dreams are to reach my potential, love myself the way God and my loved ones do, be an inspiration and artist in all I do, to sing-sing-sing, watch my children grow up and do wonderful things, to love my husband with all my heart, and the list goes on.

What are your dreams?

Change

Change...

Change is hard for many. Some avoid it and others thrive for it. I am both. I love change. I love the idea of new excitement, new adventure, new possibilities and experiences. But I am afraid as well. I am afraid to let go of the things that I love and the things that I don't...with the known fact that once you change, you can't go back. However, there is one saving grace. If you don't like the change...you do still have the option to change change.

Things I want to change:
*Accept my curves (and all the fat that may come along with it)
*Be active whether it's auditioning for a show, sweating up a storm even if it's only for a 12-15 min. circuit, or read a book. Activity is not always physical. Some great activity happens mentally.
*Be patient. Good things come to those who wait. And sometimes the great things that God has planned for you aren't ready yet...or, more like, you aren't ready for it yet.

New Years Resolution Recap

So, New Years has come and gone and it is already February. Yipee, one of the best months of the year (hope you can hear my sarcasm)...well, it's not as bad as January or March in my opinion. And tomorrow is Valentines Day, so that is the one and only good thing about this month...other than my adorable neice's birthday. Well, get to the point.

My "New Years Resolution" was to workout 5 days a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. And I can proudly say that I am 43 days in and am going strong. I have maybe missed one or two days but for good reasons and have gotten back on the horse the day after and have still felt good and motivated. I currently am a member of a fitness center, Planet Fitness, and work out 5 days a week, 30 minutes or more of cardio and strength training, and have started eating better. That is BIG for me. I don't have the greatest self-discipline and being able to do these things on my own is an accomplishment. I haven't lost a pound. But pound schmound.

It is safe to say that I am proud of myself and am feeling good so far and look forward to pressing on.

Tell me about how your New Years Resolutions going??
